
Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)®
What is it?
The Project Management Institute – Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is evidence of your real-world, hands-on experience and skill as part of an agile team. This certification formally recognizes your knowledge of agile principles and your skills at applying the agile practices, tools and methodologies. The PMI-ACP demonstrates that you have what it takes to manage highly agile projects that respond to the quickly changing market dynamics.
Who is it for?
This course is ideal for:
- Experienced project managers who use agile practices and methods in their projects.
- Aspiring leaders who work in organizations that have adopted or plan to adopt agile approaches to project management.
- Experienced software developers who would like to expand their project management versatility to effectively manage agile projects.
There are no prior experiences required to attend this course. However, course participants are better positioned for success if they possess experience with leading and managing agile projects.
Pre-requisites to apply for the PMI-ACP certification examination
To apply for the PMI-ACP certification exam. PMI requires that you have:
- A secondary degree
- 21 contact hours of training in agile practices
- 12 months of general project experience within the last 5 years. A current PMP® or PgMP® will satisfy this requirement but is not required to apply for the PMI-ACP.
- 8 months of agile project experience within the last 3 years
All course materials are included in the course fee.
The course fee does NOT include the exam. Each student will have to reserve and take the exam on their own.
