What is it?

 

Project Management as a profession is expanding rapidly. Millions of project management jobs will be created every year and qualified practitioners are in demand. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® is the entry-level qualification offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI)®. It is designed for Project Managers or project management students with little experience. This course is a good foundation qualification for individuals looking to initiate a career in project management or demonstrate their knowledge of project management to an employer. 

 

Who is this for? 

 

Anyone interested in Project Management. If you like managing larger projects and gain more responsibility or add project management skills into your current role, but don’t have the experience yet, then the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is right for you.  

Pre-requisites to apply for the CAPM certification examination 

 

Anyone can attend this course, but to apply for the CAPM certification exam. PMI requires that you have: 

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent) 
  • 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam (Fulfilled by this course)

  • 3 weeks (average 8 hours per week)

All students need to purchase a copy of the "A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge" (PMBOK® Guide) for use throughout the course. 

The course fee does NOT include the exam. Each student will have to reserve and take the exam on their own.
